A post with a little extra today. We wanted to show off Charlotte and Mark’s wonderful day from our most local wedding yet. Just down the road in the beautiful local village of Melmerby the celebrations kicked off, just catching the tail end of a great summer in the Eden valley.
Their local church in Kirkby Thore was a stage for the wedding ceremony, where a great local tradition brings out all the local children, who tie the church gates with string and will not let the new couple pass until a shower of money is released by the groom. This really set the tone for the whole day, it was so lovely to see a young couple embrace local traditions while managing to put together such a personal and emotional day.
Keep an eye out for Charlotte and Mark’s film coming in the new year.
