Must-watch pre-wedding film // The First of October?

I love pre-wedding films and it’s something we suggest to most couples that approach us for a wedding film, but I appreciate that it’s not for everyone. So I find it incredibly refreshing when someone approaches us specifically to create a pre-wedding film.

I’ve always loved the idea of concept films that are uniquely personal and entertaining to be broadcast at the wedding reception. The key, just like any film is good story-telling and with pre-wedding films, you have the benefit of planning, scripting and rehearsing. It was important to Grace that the video was funny. And it was important to me that the film conveyed a real sense of the essence of the couple; that we understand through the space of several minutes what makes them good together. After learning about their individual and shared interests and traits we loosely scripted a few set pieces. And alongside these, I caught them off guard by throwing in a few questions they weren’t expecting during their “interviews”.

It was a really fun afternoon spent with a truly fantastic couple and little bit of late afternoon sun in Alexandra Palace park was the icing on the cake. I hope you enjoy this film as much as we do.
